AEC 90 On the 13th June 1912, the Associated Equipment Company was formed to serve the many parts of the London General Omnibus Group. From those early beginnings, AEC, as it became known, developed into a major force in the bus and lorry field around the world, until the merger with Leyland in 1962, and the final closure of the famous Southall factory in 1979.
In 2002, the annual AEC Society Rally took on greater significance with the 90th Anniversary of the formation of AEC. In total, 191 vehicles and thousands of visitors braved the diabolical weather to attend the rally.
