Walks Around Britain

The Walks Around Britain walking videos are presented, narrated and produced by a small team of dedicated professionals – all of which love walking and the outdoors.

Walks Around Britain was Andrew's idea from the start. Andrew's television and media production company, Nova Productions, producers many hours of programmes for other DVD labels, mainly in the field of transport. He battled for several years to convince these DVD labels to work on a series about walking across the British Isles - but they couldn't "get" the idea. So, in 2010, andrew started it himself, along with the small team to bring Walks Around Britain to your computer screens. the next step is to bring it to your television screens, in the form of our DVDs and Blu-ray discs.

A keen walker, Andrew studied Video Production at the fine University of Wolverhampton, before turning freelance and working for the BBC and for Orbit Satellite Television in Rome. He is married with 2 girls, 1 dog, 2 rabbits and 1 hamster.

Leah Hather
Presenter

Growing up on a farm in South Yorkshire gave Leah a taste of the outdoor life from an early age- being a tomboy climbing the trees and walking the fields. In 2009, she graduated from the University of Salford with a BA Hons in Performing Arts.

Leah's interests and hobbies include dancing, especially in Ballroom and Latin, choreographing and reviewing films. (See her YouTube channel Bright Eyes, Long Lashes here)

Leah has visited many places in Europe with one of her favourite countries being Malta but Leah's biggest aspiration is to tour around the United States as she has always wanted to visit LA, go to a ranch in Texas and walk down Broadway. At the moment, thought, she is walking around Britain and loving every minute.

Robert Black

Robert is one of the Nova Productions’ backroom boys, who was been on the Walks Around Britain project from the start. An avid walker, Robert has been with Nova for 5 years, editing a whole range of productions, from trains and tram documentaries to lingerie presentations. Now, as firmly part of the Walks Around Britain team, Robert is using his vast knowledge of the countryside to edit our videos with a flair and style all of his own.
